Outdoor Strand Woven Bamboo Decking

Normally bamboo planks are made in a laminate-like method, using thin flat cut layers of matured bamboo that are then pressed strongly together to form the final product. Unlike those, strand woven bamboo is made from shredded strands from the bamboo cane which are then woven together to form a denser material. The latter is put under high heat and pressure, along with the use of adhesives, which turns it to an extremely durable construction material.
 
Strand Woven Bamboo is much more durable and stronger than other types of bamboo or wood flooring. Indeed, it is resistant to water and weather, does not rot, and therefore have a longer lifespan.

• High density and hardness (between density 1100 and 1200 kg/m3, almost twice than the density of oak). Bamboo is a highly dense and strong. Strand woven bamboo is heat treated and pressed. • Minimal expansion (expansion much lower than the conventional wood decks). Strand woven bamboo is so dense and rot proof which is not so easy to be bending or cupping, like most wood planks.
• Strand woven bamboo does not split or crack with time in opposition to wood planks.
• Ecological, bamboo is a fast-growing grass. Bamboo is an ideal alternative to exotic woods (teak, and other timber). Indeed the use of exotic wood has resulted in massive deforestation in the Amazon forest and Southeast Asia.
• Our strand woven bamboo are designed and adapted for mounting clips. This significantly reduces installation time compared to conventional decking.
